Worth the drive from North Carolina. The Adana Special alone was worth every mile.

This is better than anywhere in Atlanta. Met the owner Taz, and he told us about his family history and his secrets to his amazing food.

My five year old son bit into the seasoned chicken over rice and proclaimed "this is heaven." We went back twice during our three day vacation.

Family Recipes.
A Family Restaurant.

Taz and his wife opened Kaboblicious in Clarkesville on a single principle. Make everything from scratch, every day, the way it has always been made.

The hummus recipe is hers. The baklava recipe is hers. The kabob technique, the spice blends, the white sauce that people ask to bottle and take home, all hers.

Taz runs the floor. He greets every table, answers every question, and will tell you everything about the food if you give him sixty seconds. He grew up with these flavors. He wanted to share them.

That is the whole story. The rest is in the food.

Nobody Leaves Disappointed.

These are real, unedited reviews from Google. People drive from Atlanta, Asheville, North Carolina, and Florida to eat here.

Taz and his wife greeted me so warmly that I felt like a longtime regular on my very first visit. They grind their own meats for the lamb kabobs and make everything fresh in house. You can taste that care in every bite.

If you are within an hour, it is worth the drive. The owner himself visited our table and told us all about his restaurant. The food was impeccable. An absolute gem in an unexpected little town.

We loved it so much visiting from Florida that we went two nights in a row. Incredible service by the power couple. Wife is the chef and husband runs the front of the house.

The potato balls are beyond description. I have never had anything like them and I doubt I will ever have anything as good again in my life. The lamb is soft enough to cut with a spoon.

Deborah BeeGoogle Review

From appetizer to dessert it was flawless. The lamb was seasoned so wonderfully. Service was impeccable. Eight stars if I could.

I never write reviews but was compelled to because the lamb curry was insanely delicious. Glad to have a fresh, full of flavor spot I can keep coming back to.

Drove an hour and a half each way and would do it again tomorrow. The lamb doner melted in my mouth and the baklava was the best I have had outside of Turkey.

Taz came to our table and treated us like family. The Adana Special and the potato balls were unreal. This little spot punches so far above its weight.

Hidden gem does not even cover it. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it. The Turkish tea alone is worth the stop.
